Intenda Solution Suite (ISS) goes into DHL EMEA catalogue as a chosen Sourcing platform solution
Intenda recently entered into a strategic partner agreement with FACTT (Pty)Ltd.
In terms of the agreement Intenda developed a web based Traceability and Authentication Platform on our Devolution technology and FACTT (Pty)Ltd will continue to do the marketing and client engagement for Traceability solutions and applications in the:-
- Pharmaceutical Industry
- Security Industry
- Livestock and Farming Industry
- Supply Chain Industry
- Asset Management Industry
In terms of the agreement a consortium was further constituted that includes Motorola Solutions for their DPM (Direct Part Marking) Scanners and Traceability Solutions (Pty)Ltd for their direct part marking (DPM) technology and equipment.
A number of clients have already signed agreements for the implementation of unique traceability and item authentication solutions on the new Devolution platform in areas such as cement distribution, water purification and property and asset control in the security industry in South Africa.
According to Jenny Reid, president of SASA (South African Security Association), more than 200 companies in the industry simply do not provide SASA with any of the necessary compliance documentation and she further stated that the industry desperately needs a solution. As a result, the Intenda / FACTT solution is currently piloted by a number of security firms in South Africa and Namibia and has also attracted the attention of the United Nations in a number of projects in Africa.

Over £1 million savings with Intenda eAuction
The eAuction for Storage Media and Material Handling Equipment, which took place on 29 March 2012 and lasted for five hours, saved the Ministry of Defence £1,080,000 from the lowest tendered price. Further, £400,000 was saved on the cost of the previous contracts.
